Bridge to College, Inc., doing business in California as BtC The College Matching App (“BtC”) values individual privacy and we want to let our website visitors know what information we collect about them and how they can limit the use of personally-identifiable information beyond the purposes for which they first provided it. At all times, however, BtC reserves the right to disclose information where required by law or to comply with valid legal process (such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order), to protect BtC’s rights or property, or during emergencies when safety is at risk.

Other Internet sites you visit - including those linked from the BtC website - may have their own privacy policies or no policy at all. 1. DATA WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

Account Information and Other Personal Information. We collect personally identifiable information from you when you sign up for an account, including your name and email address, personal demographic data, and, if you provide it, your physical address and phone number. This information is collected in order for us to provide you with the services you have requested from us, such as personalized college information.

Purchase Information. If you purchase a subscription through our website, we send you to our payment provider’s website, where they will ask for your credit card number or other account number you wish to be charged, in addition to other personally identifiable information necessary for the payment to be processed. We may use your personally identifiable information to customize your experience at our website, or to send updates or notices about our organization and the products we offer that we think may be of interest to you. Unless you opt out, we will provide your personally identifiable information to colleges and our counseling partners so they may learn more about you and contact you; we may also aggregate your personally identifiable information with that of other users and provide that aggregated data to third parties. Other than as above with colleges or counseling partners, we do not sell or otherwise give out your personally identifiable information to third parties.

2. COOKIES & DO NOT TRACK

BtC does not enable cookies on our website, or otherwise track movement on our website tied to any personally identifiable information. [EA1] We therefore do not specifically respond to “Do Not Track” protocols, because we already do not track you. However, we do partner with ad providers, and they may have the ability to track you across various internet sites, including ours. That said, as with all interactions on the internet, our internet provider automatically collects information from your computer and navigation patterns when you visit our site, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the computer's operating system, the type of browser you use, and the specific web pages visited during your connection.

We may use this information, in aggregate form, for system maintenance and to better understand how our visitors use our site and services so that we can make them better. This aggregate data will not contain any information that personally identifies you.

3. HOW YOU CAN CONTROL AND UPDATE DATA ABOUT YOU

Under the California Consumer Protection Act, residents of California have the right to request: 1) that we disclose what personal information of yours we collect, use, disclose, and sell; 2) that we not sell any personal information of yours; and 3) that we delete any personal information of yours we maintain.  If you are a California resident and you wish to exercise any of these rights, please send a request to hello@bridgeto.college, including a copy of a current government-issued document with your name and photograph, and a utility bill or other verification of your address.  We will match this information with the information in our data in order to verify that you are the person whose personal information we have in our data. You may authorize an agent to make this request on your behalf; if a request comes from an authorized agent, we must be provided with a copy of your written authorization to the agent, and verification of the authorized agent’s identity. Please note that we may not be able to delete certain information due to legal requirements. 

Residents of California have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercise of the privacy rights set forth above.  

4.    COLLECTION OF INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN

BtC does not direct its products or services to children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that personal information of a person under the age of 13 age has been collected by us, we will take appropriate steps to delete this information.
